Ceiling Fans
Before purchasing or installing your new ceiling fan, you should figure out which one is the right fit for your Dallas home. According to Energy Star, the most energy efficient ceiling fan brands of the past year include Aeratron, WAC Lighting, and Fanimation. Check with your local supplier for the best pricing on any of the recommended units.
Finding the Right Size Ceiling Fan
For any of our ceiling fan installations, you will need to purchase your unit. First, you should determine the appropriate size for the ceiling fan. If you’re installing a fan in a small room (8’ x 10’), then a 30-inch fan is best. 42-inch ceiling fans should be installed in medium-sized rooms (12’ x 12’), while large rooms (18’ x 20’) should have about a 52-inch ceiling fan.
Ceiling Fan Installation & Wiring
For safety reasons, you should never install a fan right above a bed. The blades of your ceiling fan should be at least 8 inches below the ceiling, 8 to 9 feet above the floors, and at least 18 inches away from the wall. You can always consult with a licensed electrician before installing a ceiling fan.
