Hydrostatic Testing for Low Water Pressure

Hydrostatic testing is used to isolate a leak when a home’s plumbing system is experiencing low water pressure. Testing pipes exposes issues that are preventing the system from operating at design pressures, including possible water leaks. Testing validates the integrity of the system. Hydrostatic testing can be used on piping and valves with welded or fitted sections.

Hydrostatic tests must be performed by experienced plumbers to ensure accurate results. If the test ball is not positioned within the pipe correctly, inaccurate results are common. Our highly trained and licensed plumbing professionals have conducted thousands of accurate hydrostatic tests over the years.

Sewer Line Blockages and Cleaning

Here’s how Berkeys plumbers can help you:

Identify the blockage by sewer camera:  We’ll run a camera through lateral lines (e.g. kitchen, laundry) and sewer main lines. Our plumber will be able to evaluate your needs and recommend the best solution for your specific problem.

Clean the sewer pipes: Once the problem and solution are identified, cleaning can begin. Berkeys plumbers will clean out all roots, descale any calcite, etc. to return the pipe back to its original functioning diameter. They will either jet the lines or use pneumatic tools.

BioSmart™ is a special combination of natural bacteria and enzymes that digests organic waste found in a home’s plumbing system, including grease, hair, soap scum, food particles, paper, cotton, etc. BioSmart will not digest or have any effect on inorganic materials such as plastic pipe. It does not product heat, fumes or boiling like chemicals do. BioSmart is safe for people, plumbing, and the environment.

A sewer jet is the perfect tool for cleaning dirt, sludge, and debris from sewers ranging from 4″ to 72″ in diameter. The jet nozzle propels the jet hose up the sewer using high pressure water, flushing everything back to the point of entry.
